Lancang-Mekong Freshwater Ecosystem Management Program is a project under Green Lancang-Mekong Initiative. It aims to refine and prevail the Freshwater Health Index (FHI), boosting regional managing ability as well as providing executive support. 

Freshwater Society - Ecosystem Conceptual Framework

The program sets Lancang’s mainstream in Dai nationality Autonomy County as tentative region. Through field works and interviewing local experts, we pinpointed investigating locations and evaluated regional ecological health level using the FHI evaluation system. It provided support and references for the future works on the whole basin ecological management.
