"Road Infrastructure Integration", "Capacity Cooperation", "Cross-Border Economic Cooperation", "Water Cooperation" and "Agriculture and Poverty Reduction Cooperation" are the five Lancang - Mekong regional priorities proposed by Lancang - Mekong Cooperation Mechanism for “Belt and Road” construction. To carry out regional road infrastructure investment and construction as well as green finance research will contribute to enhancing relation between China's inland area and the “Belt and Road” countries, promoting regional integration and sustainable development.

Through a close look at the situation of road infrastructure construction and investment as well as financing in Lancang-Mekong region, summarize the experience of multilateral development institutions in building environmentally sustainable infrastructure in Lancang - Mekong region, analyze the strategies, capital, technology and environmental support in all aspects of the supporting capacity for Lancang-Mekong sustainable infrastructure investment and green finance, policy suggestions are provided to government departments in Lancang-Mekong countries, enterprises and financial institutions to promote sustainable infrastructure in Lancang-Mekong region.
